XTB offers two accounts: a Standard account for UK and Ireland residents and a commission-based Pro account. Both accounts are free to set up and have the ability to use either the xStation platform or the MT4 platform.  The standard account has a minimum spread of 0.35 and the pro account has a minimum spread of 0.28.

The standard account offers no commission on forex, indices, and commodities whilst the Pro account charges commission from $3.50 per lot. Community

XTB is the chosen broker of over 140,000 clients worldwide. They have dedicated Instagram accounts for each country of operation and have achieved a 5-star rating on their Facebook account. Danish actor, Mads Mikkelsen, was announced as one of XTB’s brand ambassadors in 2006 and featured in their advertising campaign entitled “I trade, I love it”.

User Experience

Setting up a XTB account is fast and easy. You simply fill out the online form and whilst they verify your details, you get access to the trading platforms. Once approved, you have the ability to deposit funds and begin trading. The XTB app is user friendly and has a live chat support function. However, the application is quite basic in that it only offers 10 indicators and the watch list updates do not sync with the web platform.

Functionality and Tools

XTB offers a demo account that includes 4 weeks of risk-free trading with $100k of virtual funds available. This is a great way to test out your trading strategies before investing your own money. One negative is that the demo account expires after a month, unlike competing brokers who offer demo accounts that never expire.

There are 29 drawing tools and 34 technical indicators available to traders on the web version of xStation. You can also make use of their market calendar, price tables and market news to help you make informed decisions. XTB also offers a trading academy that you can arrange by your level of knowledge or by subject to help you brush up on your trading skills.

XTB overs different levels of service based on volume in lots and the deposit amount. The base level of service allows you access to premium education materials. This level requires no minimum volume in lots or minimum deposit. The Plus level requires you to have a minimum volume of 10 lots and a minimum deposit of 100 EUR. This service level allows you access to premium research materials, email and pushes notifications and a priority pass to events. Lastly, the VIP service level requires 100 volume lots and a minimum deposit of 25000 EUR. This level of service gives you access to everything in the previous levels as well as market analysis on-demand, one-on-one coaching and the ability to contact XTB to negotiate cashbacks.

Trading Platforms

XTB offers traders two platforms to trade on: XTBs own platform xStation 5 and MT4. xStation is available for web, mobile, tablet and smartwatches. The web version is clean and user friendly with unique charting tools. Traders have the ability to choose from over 4000 instruments including CFDs for FX, cryptocurrencies, indices, commodities, stocks and ETFs from around the world. The xStation app allows traders to access over 1500 CFD markets.
